Long Legged Spider Crab
Macropodia rostrata
This crab can be very difficult to see as it camouflages it legs & body with seaweed & other debris.
It has long legs in relation to it's carapace, which grows to about 1.5 cm across.
It is very active during the day, actively searching for food & will quite often fend chase off prawns & steal food from anemones.
Here it is quite difficult to see despite being in the open.
